We collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what, why, and how to control it.

1. Data we collect
Calculator inputs: All numbers you enter (salary, gains, days of presence, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Server logs: Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and not used for marketing.
2. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for site preferences (e.g. theme) and to support the third-party services below. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to opt out.
3. Analytics
We use privacy-respecting page analytics to measure aggregate traffic. We do not collect personally identifiable information through analytics.
4. Google AdSense and advertising cookies
We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve personalized ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads or via aboutads.info.
5. Your rights — GDPR (EU/UK)
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because we don't store calculator inputs, most requests will simply confirm we hold nothing. Contact privacy@worldtaxcalc.lovable.app to exercise these rights.
6. Your rights — CCPA / CPRA (California)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, email privacy@worldtaxcalc.lovable.app.
7. Data retention
Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Analytics data is retained per the provider's policy. We hold no calculator inputs at any time.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date.
